Divertimento
Divertimento, 2002 (acrylic, tempera and oil on canvas - 18" x 24")
This painting was created for the 2002 Starlight Children Foundation's "Bids for Kids" Auction. It symbolizes the Foundation's
dedication to 'diverting' the children's attention away from their illness to happier, brighter events. The primary colours
symbolize joy. The yellow figures - girls dancing - the red figures in the background - boys. The violins are the music -
the spirit of life. Nothing is incidental, the vision is acceptance and hope.

Equilibrium
Equilibrium is a disturbing painting which was sold to a private collector who felt that the painting spoke not
only in the surreal terms of its imagery but also conveyed the sense of a silenced will to communicate.
Renaissance
Renaissance is an outstanding work sold to a private collector in Vancouver. It has overtones reminiscient of
Jasper Johns' Flag and fuses both early and modern aesthetic criteria to offer a new vision.

Bach Partita
An earlier work inspired as the title suggests.
Poppies
Poppies is in a private Canadian collection and a comment by the collector can be found in 'What the Critics
Say'
The Yellow Room is one of Marion's personal favourites and reflects her thoughts when meditating
and working to music. Mixed media on card it is both a simple and striking piece completed with no other purpose in mind save
for a catharsis on the part of the painter.
Thin Ice evokes cool, ethereal blues and whites giving the painting a frozen yet fluid quality.
3/4 Time was inspired by both Waltz and earlier Minuet time signatures and captures their propulsive force.
